Shahzad Khan, MD, Joins Lung, Allergy, & Sleep Specialists

Shahzad Khan, MD, MSc, has joined Milford Regional Physician Group. Dr. Khan will see patients at Lung, Allergy & Sleep Specialists, located at 94 Mendon Street, Hopedale.

Board certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine and pulmonary disease, Dr. Khan comes to MRPG from UMass Memorial, where he most recently held the role of Pulmonary Inpatient Unit Director. Dr. Khan has also held many academic appointments, including Critical Care APP Residency Medical Director and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Pulmonary & Critical Care, both at UMass Chan Medical School.

Dr. Khan earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and MS Degree in Biotechnology from University of Massachusetts Lowell. He completed an internal medicine residency at Yale-affiliated Danbury Hospital; a pulmonary/critical care fellowship from UMass Memorial Medical Center; and an advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy fellowship at Harvard Medical School/BIDMC.

He has presented locally and nationally, and published numerous journal articles on topics such as: vaping-associated lung injury, sarcoidosis, asthma, and pulmonary adenocarcinoma, among others. Dr. Khan’s special interests include lung cancer and pleural effusions. Dr. Khan speaks English, Spanish, and Bengali.
