Ariel Axelbaum, MD, Joins Milford Regional Neurology, Bringing Unique Sub-Specialty Care to Milford Area

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Ariel Axelbaum to Milford Regional. Dr. Axelbaum joins Drs. Elie Sternberg, Andrew Ferree, Adalia Jun-O’Connell, Sunjay Sethi, and Nurse Practitioner Elizabeth Ryan.

Dr. Axelbaum comes to Milford Regional from Mass General Brigham/Mass Eye and Ear/Harvard Medical School, where he recently completed a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology, a medical specialty that deals with problems related to the connection between the eyes and the brain. This can include issues like optic nerve disorders, double vision, abnormal eye movements, and conditions that affect the visual pathways in the brain.

After earning his undergraduate degree from the Honors Program at Yeshiva University in New York City, Dr. Axelbaum received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. He also completed an internal medicine internship and residency in neurology, both from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. An avid researcher, co-author, and presenter, Dr. Axelbaum has received numerous awards for excellence in medical education.
