Additional Information: Prior to joining Milford Regional Physician Group, Dr. Jun-O'Connell worked at UMass Memorial Medical Center, where she was a staff physician and neurology quality officer, responsible for providing safe, high quality, and superb neurological care to patients. She also has worked on the tele-stroke service for many hospitals, including Johnson Memorial Medical Center in Stafford Springs, CT; Day Kimball Healthcare in Putnam, CT; Clinton Hospital, Clinton, MA; Health Alliance in Leominster, MA; Harrington Hospital, Southbridge, MA; and Marlborough Hospital, Marlborough, MA. Active on many professional committees and honored for her important work in quality improvement, Dr. Jun-O’Connell has a passion for research, participating in a number of quality improvement projects focused on stroke. She has also co-authored numerous articles and presented at regional, national, and international conferences. She currently holds a faculty appointment at UMass Chan Medical School as an adjunct Associate Professor of Neurology. A board certified psychiatrist, neurologist, and a vascular neurologist, Dr. Jun-O’Connell has a special interest in ischemic stroke, post-stroke recovery, acute management of stroke, and cerebrovascular disease. Her additional interests focus on surveillance and management of post-stroke fatigue, mood symptoms, cognitive change, and motor recovery. She speaks English and Korean.
